My name is Joan Jordi, I'm from Spain and have been living and studying in Zurich for two years. My main specialization is the saxophone, which I have been studying in Spain and completing a Master Degrees at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste. During my studies in Spain I have been teaching in a music school, specially children in between 7 and 16 years old, and some adults privately. I have experience in pedagogy and some official methods to follow in order to help you understanding how to play the instrument and feel and discover the secrets of the music you like. Give it a try! I have a Master Degree in Orchestermusik with distinction at the Zurich University of Arts. I also have a Pedagogy Diploma and experience of three years teaching flute in a music school and 10-year experience in private lessons. Playing music for years had also made me develop love for computer music which I can also share with you or your child. We can develop a unique practice where you play your instrument and combine it with a software for more immersive experience ! My teaching experience comprises teaching adults as well as kids, for diverse levels of experience. With my background on theory and history of music I will help you to discover a wonderful world of music through playing the flute. I can also prepare you for concerts, competitions, auditions and exams, or boost your creativity using the software together with the instrument ! All ages and skill levels are welcome! I am educated and experienced music teacher coming from Czech Republic. I graduated Prague Conservatoire and I also attended in many international piano courses with well known pianist such as Eugen Indjic and others. I have experiences with teaching children from very early age as well as teaching adults. I have my own way of teaching playing the piano small children with telling stories and playing games with piano which is very effective. Musician and violinist graduated in classical instrumental pedagogy and free improvisation (I hold two Master), I propose a course of introduction to the improvisation for musician and vocalist of any level and any age. Adapted to your favorite musical style! Classic, pop, rock, jazz, klezmer, Irish and more ... I also adapt to instrumental level and age. This course is a very good introductory music course for children, from 2 years, because it allows to discover the music while having fun! You will learn to develop your ability to listen and recognize a simple or more complex harmony, so you can play your own melodies freely and spontaneously, without blocking the score! I am a professional pianist and piano teacher. I graduated with a Master's Degree in Piano Music Performance at Zürcher Hochschule der Künste and the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. Currently, I am continuing my education studying Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy at Zürcher Hochschule der Künste.

I hold a BM in Secondary Choral Music Education from Brigham Young University, wherein I was awarded the Barlow Music Endowment. I have been a private voice instructor, choral director, and professional opera and choral singer for over 12 years, and have taught throughout the United States and France both privately and at specialist schools such as the Children's Choir of Paris. I have performed with premier vocal ensembles on tour throughout Europe, as well as with the 8-time Grammy Award-winning San Francisco Symphony Chorus. I have over twelve years of experience conducting adult and children's choirs in various community and ecclesiastical capacities. I offer singing lessons (classical and contemporary) to all levels and ages as well as musicality, language, sight-reading, dictation, and performance skills. I am patient and nurturing. I offer violin and viola lessons for students of all levels and ages. Beginners are welcome! I have developed my own teaching approach, based on years of practice with my Master teachers and my own research. I focus on supporting and developing student’s individuality. I am open to meet specific expectations and needs. I play the violin with my students to demonstrate and to inspire them. I also willingly perform together with pupils as well as accompany them during family performances. This makes playing even more enjoyable! I offer group and chamber music lessons. That's the best way to learn how to communicate with others through the sounds of instruments. Students learn how to use music as a way to connect, follow the leader or to train mindful awareness. Playing together supports motivation to practice and improve skills. I teach to improvise. I treat the instrument as a voice to be used freely. I use improvisation as a language, wordless channel to create dialogue or express emotions. It builds student’s ability to play with trust. It allows making music to become more personal.

Online learning is the most suitable method of learning because it reduces the travel time and it also helps to avoid the hindrance of group learning. Students can learn with individual attention which will help them to correct their mistakes soon and accurately. They can have more knowledge about international music.The student will be given assignments regularly to keep in touch with what they learn. Those assignments are not so complicated and everyone can do that. Depending on the student's interest, he/she can appear for the Grade Exams conducted by Trinity College London. If the student is willing to learn music as a hobby, that is also accepted. Students can have flexible timings and they can attend the class on any day. Students can learn with their own instrument so that they may have the comfort and ease while learning. They are free to contact and ask doubts anytime.

I am currently a student in first year of master in jazz saxophone, I finished a degree in Conservatory in France before coming to Brussels in higher. The courses are à la carte, according to your desires: Basics, technique, repertoire, style, improvisation, rhythm, harmony, the course adapts to the student, the main one being to take pleasure while progressing. Classes can take place at home or at home.
