This course is intended for people who want tutoring or special help in order to prepare for the matriculation exams, or even those at university. I teach all school math subjects, as well as college-level analysis and algebra. If you need support in your lessons or your school exams I would be happy to prepare you and allow you to improve quickly. I can also allow you to get ahead of your program and learn mathematical concepts at university level (up to the second year of engineering school). My experience with university and college students allows me to easily adapt my pedagogy to all levels in order to get the best out of it. Classes take place mainly at my home or on the EPFL campus, I can also travel by public transport to your home.

I am a first year master's student at EPFL, in biology. I offer support courses in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology. The course offers a possibility of help for students having difficulties in the courses offered. J'introduis des questions de type examen afin de rendre ses connaissances du sujet applicables à l'examen qu'il doit passer. Comprendre les questions susceptibles d'être posées lors de l'examen permet de le rendre moins stressant et de consacrer plus de temps à la vérification des réponses. Je privilégie également la connaissance et la compréhension plutôt que la mémorisation par-coeur. Même si la mémorisation par-coeur peut être utile pour certains examens, elle n'est d'aucune utilité pour les questions appliquées et tout ce qui peut arriver après les examens. Seule la compréhension de la tâche ou du problème permet de se souvenir des faits et de mener à une compréhension pratique du sujet.

Hello, I am currently a BA3 student at EPFL, in the computer science section, and I can offer you lessons in mathematics, physics, as well as computer science. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from EPFL, and I am currently a 2nd year student of a Master's degree in Communication Systems at EPFL. With an average higher than 5/6 in the Bachelor, my skills in mathematics and computer science (whether theoretical or programming) are solid to help students ranging from primary school to the beginning of the Bachelor. During a mathematics or scientific branch course, the student has specific questions or subjects to address (ranging from compulsory school to the end of the gymnasium in maturity/reinforced math) in order to fill in the gaps in the subject . I quickly noticed that the problem often comes from understanding the exercises given rather than the course itself, so here's how I like to proceed: I always start by first making sure that the principle of the course is understood by focusing on the points that block, and then we can start looking at the exercises, given by the teacher, that pose a problem. The goal is that at the end of the rehearsal course, the student has in his hands cards with the different methods used to solve all the possible types of exercises, especially those requested in the exam. I myself take care of preparing these sheets during the rehearsal course in order to summarize all the methods acquired.

As a teaching assistant, my role is to help students succeed in their exercises in math, chemistry and biology. I am there to support them in their learning by offering them clear explanations and practical advice to overcome the obstacles they encounter. My approach is to provide them with the tools and methods they need to solve their exercises independently and efficiently. My name is Noreen, I am in the 3rd year of secondary school and I am a tutor for primary school students. I have many learning techniques and am happy to share them with students. I am calm and patient by nature and have no problem repeating myself or explaining several times if necessary.

I am in my third year of mathematics at EPFL. I am available almost all week. I am fluent in Dutch, French and English.
