About Me

I am an enthusiastic pianist and chemist with specialization in sustainability chemical engineering for the latter. During my secondary education, I followed a double specialization degree in music and science which led to my Grade 7 Piano certification from the UK’s Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in 2008. I then graduated from London Metropolitan University (UK) with a BSc in Chemistry in 2011, followed by an MSc in Sustainable Chemical Engineering in 2012 and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Newcastle University (UK) in February 2017. I have experience in bioremediation studies for developing novel technologies for chemical and energy production.

They say that people who love science, love to play a musical instrument. My interests are chemistry, the environment and the piano. I have been playing the piano since the age of six and I have participated in national competitions and concerts.

Thank you very much for your time Xenia. It was a great time for my daughter to learn with you. We are looking forward to the next class.
I have only taken two lessons for now with Xenia, but I am enjoying it so much and I am super excited! :) Xenia is a very good teacher, she always plans the lessons very well in advance, with a good balance between theory and practice. I would always recommend her.
Xenia is friendly, supportive, knowledgeable and thoughtful. Her lessons are well-prepared and tailored to the student's level and interests. She is so very organised that you feel she has really given care to the pieces she has selected for you. She is able to balance knowledge and skills with application in beautiful musical compositions. She is also flexible and if something doesn't go according to plan she is open to change and variation to best suit your needs at the time. I look forward to my lessons with her each week and know that together we are not only making great progress but also enjoying and fostering the love for music. Anyone, young or old, would be very lucky to have her as a teacher and I recommend her whole-heartedly.
Thank You Xenia. The classes have been really good for Disha and he is enjoying it a lot.
Xenia readily adapted her lessons and teaching style to both work with my school age children and with myself. She is punctual, prepared, clear in communicating and very encouraging! After two lessons, we can't wait for more classes.
This class is designed not only to teach the concepts and fundamentals needed to perform on classical piano but aspire young musicians. It will increase musical understanding beyond reading notes and by introducing a vocabulary of chords, keys, scales and arpeggios as well as music theory. Students will develop good practice habits, and learn techniques to increase the muscular agility and flexibility of their hands. I have been studying music since the age of six and I have been involved with national competitions and concerts. I am certified with a Grade 7 in the ABRSM system and currently in preparation to obtain the final level (Grade 8). I am a part-time piano teacher and I have experience with children and teenagers. In addition I am an active member of the Les culturElles (NGO) in which I am responsible of the creation and development of the music part of ongoing and future projects. You can receive your private piano lessons from the comfort of your own home, or at my location. Nights and weekends are available. Lessons can be in English, Greek or French (not fluent). Students can start as early as 4 years old and there isn't an upper age limit for adults. It is never too late to start learning the piano, and it is never too late to get back to it. Where words fail, music speaks! (by Hans Christian Andersen)

Private lessons in Math, Physics, Chemistry and SVT
The Math, Physics, Chemistry and SVT courses of the Swiss Maturity and Gymnastics Program or the new or old French or university program are either explained in depth or by a quick and essential summary of the needs of each student supported by book exercises or assessments and exams from other high schools. My experience is too long and for years I have learned methods for each case and for each student to fill in their gaps with the best results of Excellent, Very Good and Good as a mention of my students. As well as I can help students to better prepare courses and support to better prepare the duties of CNED in science subjects

Sam
Maths, Physics and Chemistry Support Course for High School, Middle and Orientation and College levels
Scientific training, I offer courses in Maths, Physics and Chemistry for students who need a little support to understand the content of courses but also prepare the tests in each of these subjects. I have several years of experience in this field.

Fara
mathematics tutoring in Math- and physics-chemistry
I am an Engineer and Manager in energy training, I give private lessons in Geneva since 2009. In collaboration with Mrs. Merminod, teacher and trainer at the IUFE at the University of Geneva. I was also in a private school also in Geneva.

Astrid
Private lessons in Life and Earth Sciences high school level
I propose to review and deepen the programs of SVT of college and high school, both in terms of substance and form, emphasizing the scientific approach, helping the drafting of syntheses and rigorous analysis of documents. The realization of some practical work (in particular the use of the software approached in progress) is also possible. SVT teacher for 6 years, having worked in different schools and also taught abroad, I hold the CAPES since 2015. I had the opportunity to teach in all levels of middle and high school, most regularly in classes of 1 ° S and Terminale S (including specialty program), and was delighted to be able to accompany students to the baccalaureate. I also worked with elementary school students, as well as dys- and other students with attention disorders, and did homework help and tutoring until the end-of-school level. middle School. Holder of a Master of Research in ecology / environment, as well as a Master's degree obtained at the University of Orsay during my preparation for the aggregation, I obtained my CAPES in July 2015. I then benefited from a year postponed internship, during which I left to teach in French lyceum in Mauritius, and then returned to validate my competition on the academy of Lyon. I have also been eligible for the aggregation twice.

Grégory
Mathematics and Chemistry Physics Course offered by an experienced teacher
For a dozen years I help students and students in mathematics and physics-chemistry. I make a skills assessment during the first class and I commit to quantitative results. I can indeed certify a quarterly increase of the notes between 1 and 4 points according to the file taken into consideration. This rare positioning is the consequence of a permanent optimization of my teaching methods and especially of a real ability to perfectly detect the learning structure of each of my students. During school holidays, I do courses in private lessons.

Christophe

Working part-time in the watch industry, I have been tutoring for several years in the context of refresher, one-off support or preparation of exams or competitions. Very experienced in relation to the difficulties encountered by students and pedagogue, I adapt to everyone's needs in order to quickly regain the necessary confidence, the methodology of mathematical reasoning and thus allow rapid improvement of results. Experienced and pedagogue, I adapt to the needs of the student to help him consolidate his knowledge methodically, to regain confidence and improve as quickly as possible its results. I teach these courses in a radius of 30 km around Geneva.

Clara
Primary and Secondary Science Support Course
I am currently in 5th year of medicine in Geneva and I teach science courses (mathematics, biology) to students in primary or secondary. I did a Bac S with honors, so I know French programs; but I can also very well adapt to Swiss programs. My availability is not fixed during the week, those checked in the table are almost always present; on the other hand during the weeks I can be much more available than it is announced. Do not hesitate to contact me for more information.

Gregory
Homework help math, natural sciences in English, French, German
This course and a courtyard help, to accompany a student during the school year. The course covers math and science from primary school to high school. The first part of this course is normally reserved for the revision of the duties of the student. In addition any questions and uncertainties are answered and explain. Then follows the cramming part to reinforce the concepts learned until the students become on to themselves with regard to applying the techniques. At the end of the course if time and situation permit, I prepare the students for their next class. In addition to the subjects I am struggling to explain to students how to "learn to learn" so that my courses have a long lasting effect. This includes showing them how to organize and prepare for the exam. I have over seven years experience in helping dozens of schoolchildren improve their grades. I am also comfortable with children and young people with rather serious problems like dyscalculia, fear of school or who are seriously demotivating. For these children I try to look even more patient than usual, explaining every little detail in a way that is easy to understand until everything is understood In addition to the subjects I am struggling to explain to students how to "learn to learn" so that my courses have a long lasting effect. Being trilingual, I master French, German and English at the same level. Courses may take place in any of these languages.

Gregory
Physics for Bachelor or Master students by Chevron teacher
Because of my teaching experience in several French and American universities, I have a long practice of teaching undergraduate and graduate programs in a wide variety of scientific disciplines such as physical and chemical thermodynamics, mechanics fluids, Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Spectroscopy but also electronics, statistics etc ... Proven pedagogy, particularly adapted to students in higher education As well as punctual focus, intensive sessions (review review, September catch-up) or follow-up throughout the year. With regard to medical studies (medicine and pharmacy) I taught a lot of physics and biophysics: fluid physics, mechanics, thermodynamics but also parts of the histology program (energetics, fluid compartments). Small group course possible (up to 3i students)

Mathematics courses for all levels (beginner to advanced)
Mathematics is a complicated subject when you do not know how to approach it, it is easy to get lost in all these figures, formulas and other letters that may be on our copies. I am a student in Master in Statistics at the University of Neuchâtel with a Bachelor of Applied Mathematics in Humanities and Social Sciences and having made the EPFL offers to give Mathematics courses of any level to those who need it. I try to advance the student at best with personalized support that corresponds to him.

Victor
Repetiteur gives course of sciences SFO (physics, chemistry, statistics) for first year of medicine in Geneva
The methodology is the key to success for a student in the first year of medicine at the University of Geneva. It must be understood that this methodology is based on a fine balance between "being systematic", (ie ensuring all learning objectives) and "being effective" (ie working on the topics that most often come under discussion). In terms of science learning, I base my courses entirely on multiple-choice questions of two types: -Quest instructional questions: the goal is to check your understanding of the learning objectives; -question "type" exam: to prepare you for the level of difficulty required and get used to answer questions in 2 minutes on the day of the exam. In addition to tutoring I also offer courses in e-learning on my platform exa-MED tutoring. These recorded courses are available from 10CHF / hour and published every Sunday for you to test yourself on the SFO and SMB courses of the week! It's your turn!

Christian
Private lessons in Biology and / or Chemistry and / or French and / or Italian
The student will choose one or more of the 4 courses offered. This particular course is intended to help students with academic difficulties concerning the two scientific subjects: biology or chemistry, or also concerning the two languages: French (especially grammar and conjugation) or Italian (Level A1 and A2). Being a Master student in Pharmaceutical Sciences, and knowing that the curriculum of Pharmacy studies mainly includes chemistry and biology in detail, I would be able to help students with difficulties regarding these two modules in a proper way to aim for excellence. Also my linguistic knowledge in French, English, Arabic, and Italian, pushed me to be a source of help to students who find difficulties in French (especially Grammar and conjugation) and Italian. I will be as always, flexible and I will respond as much as necessary to the student so that he can succeed his year by managing his stress with enthusiasm and perpetual courage.
