Currently a doctoral student in international development studies, I give private language lessons to children and adults in Geneva. My pedagogy is encouraging and fun, and I always adapt the approach according to the pupil and his needs. Professional translator English-Finnish and French-Finnish, I am bilingual French-Finnish and I also speak fluently English and Portuguese. The form of the lessons adapts to the specific requests, needs and problems of the student. It may include one or more of the following: - help with homework - proofreading/corrections of written work - revisions for exams, essays, courses - help with presentations, talks etc. - learning English through exercises and/or conversations I also generally help with: - organization of a work / review plan, with creation of a calendar, division of labor etc. - memorization: different techniques and advice - the methodology: how to be efficient in your work and in your reading, how to take good notes etc. - concentration and stress management - general advice My studies at university allow me to have access to rare and useful resources for learning English, which can enrich the courses. They also helped me to be more efficient in researching and citing useful sources for courses, dissertations, presentations etc. Lessons can be given at the student's home, in a municipal library or in one of the UNIGE.

Graduated with an American bachelor's degree in international relations and law, I wish to share my passion for English by offering courses for all levels adapted to the needs and objectives of the student. Since obtaining my CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) diploma in summer 2020, I have been teaching English to learners of all ages, from beginner to advanced level (A1-C1). Lessons are tailored to the student's needs, whether it's improving conversational English, preparing for an exam, working on Business English and more. In addition to my work as a teacher, I am a student of English language and literature at the University of Geneva. English is truly my passion, which is why I strive to transmit the love of this language to all my students.
