The flute is a wonderful instrument because you can use it to describe birdsong, wind, sadness, even the sunrise and elicit beautiful melodies from it. To make it easy for you, I will introduce you to breathing tricks and interesting tone exercises. I think it's important that we also play a duet or that I accompany you on the piano so that you can get a taste of chamber music, intonation and dynamics. We can also choose pieces of music according to your taste and if you are interested I will also introduce you to music theory and music history.

What is this - Suzuki method? The Suzuki Method is suitable not only for children but also for adults as it provides an excellent technical foundation for playing your favorite songs! If you have been dreaming of playing the flute for a long time, I am here to help you. Talent is not inherited. It is a product of energy and patience. Children grow up in a rich and diverse environment, accepting the world around them spontaneously and intuitively. They grow up in an atmosphere of joy and positivity. Parents believe unconditionally in their children, their success, their luck, their talent. They learn eagerly through repetition by imitating their favorite people. Language and music are perceived through hearing. There is a sensitive period in childhood when a child learns to speak naturally. The sensitive phases are important. That's why we have to bring music into a child's life as early as possible (Maria Montessori also talks about "sensitive phases"). The child learns and improves at their own individual pace. A successful task is an incentive for new achievements. We can learn and master anything we want. All it takes is patience, perseverance and time. The surrounding world is a living source of sensitivity and receptivity. Man is a child of his environment. Constant repetition, listening to the repertoire, learning to play by heart is a natural way to learn an instrument, just like the native language. Trial lessons are free!!! My name is Nikolai and I am a professional flautist. I have been in this wonderful field for 14 years and am always moving forward. I come from Saint Petersburg, where I graduated from the classical lyceum "Kikin Hall" and the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory. I have been in Switzerland for three years and during this time I have completed Bachler classical music at the University of the Arts and am now enrolled in the Master Pedagogue at the HKB. I have been teaching transverse flute at the Schmitten and Niederscherli music school for 2 years and I have been teaching privately for 5 years. My course is extremely flexible - we can work with songs and songs you love, as well as the most difficult etudes and large repertoire pieces. But what always remains is a good mood, a friendly atmosphere, professional methods (correct position of the instrument, correct breathing and easy technique) and joy in music!

Cathy started her music teaching career in 2015, and has been teaching students from beginner to grade 8, aged from 6 to 35 years old. She always welcomes students who wish to explore more about music, building up playing the flute as their hobby, as well as growing together with them as their role models. She feels very glad and blessed to be the teacher of her students, as well as being their sister, witnessing their growth and becoming a good friend to them. In the lesson, she would always love to play studies, and exercise, as well as play flute pieces and duets together with the students. To broaden their horizons, she would love to share different music recordings, as well as discuss the music together during the lesson. Cathy believes that it is essential for students to step out of the classroom to learn music, rather than just playing the flute. During years of teaching, she has encountered students taking different examination grades. Cathy understands the importance of choosing the pieces for students, she would love to demonstrate pieces and discuss the preferences with the students together. As the mode of having examinations has varied these years, she has already adapted to preparing students for the exams under different situations. Hello, I am a master student at HKB and I specialize in tutoring flute and a recorder. My goal is to keep you challenged and interested, but not overwhelmed. You will learn a variety of music styles throughout the flute. I welcome english speakers of all ages and levels :)

Turkish reed flute is an essential instrument of Turkish Classcial Music. It has a deep and dense culture dating from 13. century around. If you want to learn about how to perform it you first need a teacher educated by masters on this field. As of many teachers you can find online but you make sure that not every tutor meets with traditional style. Solfege and method are inseperable parts of the lessons. So for beginners and intermediate students must follow a compotent tutor to learn about the way of classic form.

I have played the flute for more than 20 years, and have been teaching since 2011. I offer flute lessons to children aged 8 and up, and adults at all levels from beginners to post Grade 8. I also teach recorder to younger beginners- I find this is a good stepping stone for younger children as it's more comfortable for smaller beginners to hold, and easier to make a sound on. Learn to pass exams or just for fun- many of my students achieve highly in ABRSM and Trinity grades, but some prefer not to take exams and this is fine too. Whatever your level, one to one tuition means that I can tailor my teaching to your needs as a flute player, and my teaching takes into account the reasons you learn an instrument, encompassing a wide variety of repertoire. I also teach music theory- lots of students come to me to help prepare for Grade 5 theory, and I also teach higher theory grades.
