Welcome to my online Piano Class. I will happily help you achieve your musical goals, from the basic fundamentals of piano playing (reading music, positioning your hand on the keys) to building a wonderful sound and technique, allowing you to play any song. I respect all students, I listen to their concerns and I am always happy and creative in helping them express themselves through music.

- About the course-- My method is to work the technique and the musicality at the beginning of the tastes of the student so that the objectives are always stimulating. I try to develop as quickly as possible to the students, that is to say to make them able to target their own difficulties and to invent the exercises to solve them. --About me-- I am a guitar teacher for over 15 years, privately, music school (Kraainem, Waterloo, Enghien) and internship (AKDT). I started the guitar 25 years ago and have never stopped. I went through all styles: from classical to pop songs and then to electric guitar: blues, rock and then jazz (with Frankie Rose). Later, I developed flamenco (with Karim Baggili), Brazilian (with Osman Martins), gypsy music and Eastern European music (with Tcha Limberger). I am also versed in gypsy jazz. I can give classes of any level and any style. I give the theory in parallel of what is worked so that it enters in a passive way. I have experience with children as well as adults. I also teach electric bass and ukulele.

Hi, I'm Karoline! I have a Bachelor of Education from the University of Music and performing arts Vienna and have been teaching for several years. Whether you are a complete beginner (of any age) or have been playing for many years - my lessons will be customized to fit you personal needs and goals. For me the most important thing is to pass down my passion for the instrument and music and to teach you how to be confident with your instrument. I can also prepare you for exams (i.e. entrance exams for a music university) and teach lessons in music theory and ear training. Folk or classical acoustic guitar. The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation. For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (…). I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons to students of all levels. As a pianist 12 years of teaching experience and over 21 years of playing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the course of learning piano. If the student is interested in a more serious approach, I can also guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) exams. For example, in the last year my students have achieved highest marks in the ABRSM exams as well as prizes in various competitions. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music." Prior to this, I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance/Music from University of Minnesota and TCU-Fort Worth, TX, USA. My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as soloist with orchestra (also as harpist), and receiving top prizes in several competitions. I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.
