Dear Parents, You came here to seek help for your child and you did well. Publics schools are essential for our education, but they sometimes lacks the necessary resources to take care of each student individually. I had quite a difficult schooling myself for this very reason. My struggles were no greater than anyone else's, but the schedule was too rigid for me to thrive freely. Thanks to the support of my parents however, I was fortunate enough to benefit from the help of a private school and I was thus able to fulfill my childhood dream of becoming a chemist. I am now a chemist who graduated from EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology) and on April 11, 2019, I was defending a doctoral thesis in experimental physics at the University of Geneva (UNIGE). I quickly noticed that the problem often comes from understanding the exercises given rather than the course itself, so here's how I like to proceed: I always start by first making sure that the principle of the course is understood by focusing on the points that block, and then we can start looking at the exercises, given by the teacher, that pose a problem. The goal is that at the end of the rehearsal course, the student has in his hands cards with the different methods used to solve all the possible types of exercises, especially those requested in the exam. I myself take care of preparing these sheets during the rehearsal course in order to summarize all the methods acquired.
