I will happily help you achieve your musical goals, from the basic fundamentals of piano playing (reading music, positioning your hand on the keys) to building a wonderful sound and technique, allowing you to play any song. This course is above all there to make you want to play the guitar, let it be a pleasure! It will be based on the practice of the instrument, on the understanding and role of the guitar. - About the course-- My method is to work the technique and the musicality at the beginning of the tastes of the student so that the objectives are always stimulating. I try to develop as quickly as possible to the students, that is to say to make them able to target their own difficulties and to invent the exercises to solve them. --About me-- I am a guitar teacher for over 15 years, privately, music school (Kraainem, Waterloo, Enghien) and internship (AKDT). I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. This course is for anyone from complete beginners to advanced students, from lessons that focus completely on classical music to lessons that include or focus on the basics of jazz/pop. If you like to sing, we can also work on the basics of jazz/pop vocal, so you can learn to accompany yourself at the piano. In our lessons, technique will be an inherent part of the training, as well as analysis, basic music theory, and efficient ways of practicing music. In a nutshell, I am a professional pianist, vocalist, lyricist and blogger. Since 2014, I have taught in various music schools, teaching piano, ensemble, jazz vocal, and solfege. On a more elaborate note, I obtained my Master of Arts in classical piano, summa cum laude, at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent (KASK) in 2017, and studied as a Fulbrighter at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington USA during the 2019-2020 academic year. Every day, I strive to become a better musician and person, and I aim to transfer that passion to my students.
