These classes tend to take place in a more relaxed yet fun and stimulating environment. I constantly provide feedback to students about their progress and assign homework to ameliorate the practical and theoretical aspects of the English. My teaching methods focus on improving Adult ESL that is tailored specifically to life in the Netherlands. I design my teaching plans, with my students, to cover the most essential aspects of English that are needed to navigate life in Amsterdam. Moreover, I have a deep understanding of how English in the Netherlands differs from conversational English in other countries. I have a grasp of the nuances of both languages and the areas which pose particular difficulty. I really enjoy the motivation of my adult students and the unique friendships I have formed through teaching. Lessons are structured according to the student's future and future needs. I am a CELTA and PGCE qualified teacher specialising in teaching adults of all ages. I have over seven years’ experience teaching English in Germany, the UK, Australia, Macedonia and Japan. In the past I have worked for banking corporations, community centres, language schools and universities. I base my lessons on you and can adapt lessons to what you require. I have experience working with very low levels of English and literacy through to university level. We can work on conversation and fluency, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, reading or writing. This class is for everyone who wants to improve his/her English and German skills. This is a class for young learners whose ages range from 7-12. The lessons revolve around American culture, school, and usually, a combination of the content of the coursebook and whatever the students' interests are. Another focus of our classes can very well be exam preparation- Cambridge Starters, Cambridge Movers, or Cambridge Cambridge Flyers. The target language is English and the best way to learn is through immersion. This is the reason why all instructions are given in English but if necessary, at the beginning of class, I can juggle 2 languages.
