Currently via webcam I studied at the conservatories of Antwerp and Ghent and obtained my master's degree as a performing musician and my diploma in specific teacher training. I have studied Composition, Harmony and Counterpoint since the very start of my Music education when I was 9. I have always discovered new ideas through improvising. It is best to know the rules to traditional harmony, and then break them if you want!

I view teaching vocals and songwriting as a therapeutic, holistic process, where my students learn techniques and practical tools that help them hone their craft, but also work through psychological blockages that make them into greater artists.

Hello, my name is Silvia! I am an Italian student of Violin, currently attending the Postgraduate Musical Performance Practice at KASK & Conservatorium in Gent. I already have experience in teaching music and violin to children, teenagers and young adults. In those occasions, I discovered how much transmitting my love for music to other people - children, teenagers, adults, any age! - is one of my highest goals within my musical career. I am aware that each student deserves a personal teaching approach, shaped on his/her own nature and attitude. I will help students strengthen and consolidate their technical skills on the instrument, but we will also have a lot of fun in playing music! I've spent my whole live practicing and playing cello and I can assure it's one of the most marvelous things one can do. Even if you struggle! I can teach either beginners or amateurs who want to get better at it, or higher level students who want to perfect their craft. Also, if you are somebody thinking about starting with this instrument, do not have any doubt! I base myself on the teachings received from my teachers during all my years of study, in which I have always been especially interested in the importance of the figure of the teacher for the healthy development of students. I adapt to the technical and musical needs of each student, even if we start from 0, without prior musical knowledge. We will work on every aspect of cello playing: Both hands' technique, posture, musical expression... Musical theory, solfège, harmony, etc. are also possible!

I'm a pianist from Japan . I used to work as a piano teacher in Japan, I would like to give piano lessons here (I speak English, Japanese and a little Dutch). Also I can teach some solfege and basic method of singing. My lessons are not too strict, full of enjoying music and having fun. If you need, I can teach more advanced and professional level as well. Also, I teach Japanese language and culture. You can always ask me what you would like to know.

My approach is about discovering music from different angles and sensations, from listening and touching to reading and learning, which creates a good balance for an efficient and relaxed way of working. I focus on technique, musicality, analyse, but mostly I try to demonstrate how these are all bound together. I only work with scores (music sheets) which is according to me the best way to learn. Graduated at the Royal Conservatory Ghent in Performing Music, Classical Harp with a specialisation in Music Education. I studied with solo harpist of the Flemish Opera Arielle Valibouse. Teaching for all ages. In this class the harp lessons will be individualized and adapted to the expectations of the student.

Learning to practice an instrument well is very important. I really value this very much in my lessons. From the moment one can practice well, it progresses much faster, so that you also prefer to play. I started quite late, so I had to catch up a lot in a short time. In the beginning it progressed quickly, but as the pieces got more difficult I needed new practice techniques. I practiced so badly and that is very demotivating over time. I eventually learned to practice well by asking a lot of different people for help and now I'm making faster and faster progress. I would really like to share this info, so I think I have something to offer for young and old, even if I haven't been doing it that long.
