I am a qualified English Language and Literature Teacher from England. I have a Masters in English from UCL and have undergone rigorous teacher training. I offer English conversation, examination preparation, and essay support. I can tutor SATS, GCSEs, IB, and A Level. The entirety of the lesson will be in English in order to immerse you in the language.

Hello everyone, I am a native French speaker and I studied Geography and Archaeology at the University (bachelor, Master and PhD). I taught 4 years at the Sorbonne University in Paris (dpt of Geography) and I am in Greece to continue my research in Physical Geography and Archaeology. I would be delighted to teach French, Geography or History to students and adults, for personnal, school or academic purposes.

This class is for foreigners living in Athens, Greece, that want to learn the basics (and more) of the Greek language for various reasons like business, curiosity to explore the greek language, communicating better with loved ones etc.. You will learn how to understand, listen, read and speak this complicated yet interesting and historic language. I focus a lot on the greek pronunciation and grammar, since those are the sections most foreigners struggle with. Along with the language, you will also learn many ancient greek words, because the modern greek language derives from the ancient greek and the grammar is closely related to it. Last but not least, you will be teached some things about the greek culture and history and if asked, you could learn about greek urban dictionary. I started gaining experience by volunteeringly teaching it to my foreign friends and to refugees since I was 16 years old. Moreover, the fact that I took many language classes growing up ( french, japanese, spanish, english), and still do, helped me learn new patterns from my teachers and apply them in my classes. Former law student, I am currently taking a gap year before studying languages to become a translator or interpreter. Indeed, it has always been my passion to learn new languages, because in my opinion, there is no better way to reward yourself of new knowledges that can always turn out to be an undeniable advantage, both on the personal and professional aspect. As I have learnt 5 languages by myself (English, Norwegian, Italian, Danish and a bit of Greek), I thought it would be an unique experience to teach my mother-tongue to people who are, just like me, willing to learn and improve their communication skills. I have previously given English lessons, and I have been a volunteer translator for an association in Paris (mostly for legal documents). My teaching method is based on everyone's needs, regardless of the level. The purpose is make you feel more comfortable with French, which as tough as it can seem to be at first, is beautiful and rich. Learning a language is like learning how to ride a bike. The first steps are the hardest and need much guiding. There are a lot of stepping stones and ways to fall. Later on it becomes easier, but on the other hand the language grows and the opportunities of use are widening. I offer German and English classes for beginners and advanced students. Furthermore I offer classes in Philosophy in both languages to deepen the language and deepen the knowledge and use of the given language.
