The class will follow the exam board the students are currently learning at school, e.g. IB, GCSE, IGCSE, A Level, AP and so on. By following the syllabus of the specific exam board, I will go through any topics you do not understand or are not very clear by explaining the theorem and showing the examples. I will also giving students relative questions to test their knowledge and understanding on this topic. The class is designed to help the students with their maths and it can be treated as a revision session, doing preparation with students for the exams.

I am available to tutor students currently studying Maths, Physics or Chemistry remotely online. I break down at first seemingly difficult and complex topics/problems into much more friendly pieces during the hour long sessions. These bitesize pieces then build up into a complete understanding of the material and how to apply it to exam questions to answer them.

During my high school education in Portugal, I found myself unchallenged and unmotivated by the math curriculum. Seven years later, as a mathematician at the beginning of my academic career, I think I'm an ideal tutor for students in a similar position—interested in math but not quite finding what they need at school. I'm also available to help more advanced students (from university or beyond) who need advice and direction on university-level topics. Additionally, I'm happy to help adults who need help restarting their mathematical education or filling in gaps in their understanding. I'm interested in talking about anything mathematical, from linear inequalities to Hilbert's Nullstellensatz. I'm also familiar with computer science, both in theory and practice. I can easily take the reins and "lecture" on most topics but would prefer to steer towards whatever the student finds interesting. I strongly believe that learning math is an active, creative process.

Je suis enseignant de mathématiques et je donne des heures supplémentaires pour des cours particuliers dans les matières scientifiques. Ces cours sont destinés principalement aux élèves du cycle et du collège à Genève, élèves des écoles privées ainsi qu'à des personnes qui ont dépassés ce stade mais qui ont besoin de se remettre à niveau pour des besoins professionnels. De ce fait, je suis disponible en général dans les 3 jours qui suivent votre demande, je me déplace également dans le canton de Genève via les TPG, et les frais de déplacement sont inclus dans mes tarifs. Enfin, pour un suivi sur le long terme, je peux vous donner des exercices à faire entre les séances et aussi les corriger chez moi. Je parle et comprends l'anglais, mais mes cours seront essentiellement en français.

Je suis spécialisé en mathématiques pour le pré-bac et mathématiques et statistiques post-bac (cégep, universités, écoles d'ingénieur, prépa commerciales, prépa scientifiques…). Je pratique la pédagogie (lycée et prépa) en bonne connaissance des méthodes de travail bac, post-bac et préparation concours aux grandes écoles en europe. Hello, my name is Víctor and I am graduated in Mathematics with a Master's Degree in Applied Statistics. Mathematics is a huge scientific area and I consider that a way to understand the maths and its complexity is though exercises. However, the first step is to know the theoretical aspects. The lessons will be organized in two parts: the first one will be theoretical and the second one practical. The objective is to have a quick overview of the applied theory in each exercise to use it in similar exercises. Each student will follow each own path and that will also be discussed during the lessons. Depending on the student level and objectives some modifications will be done in our way of working. If the purpose of the lessons is to pass an exam, we will adapt our way of working and will focus on understanding the theory quickly to do as much exercises as possible.

I’m Masters of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutics, having 4 years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in Bachelor of Pharmacy, in India. My mode of teaching will be in English.
