2. Polish up your piano skills.
3. Develop a 360-degree understanding of music and examine works from the perspectives of a Pianist, a composer, and an interpreter.
4. Help you with basic music theory, harmony and counterpoint, form analysis, ear training, Piano literature, and music history.
5. Expand your piano repertoire.
6. Design an efficient Piano practice method that suits you.
7. Complimentary unique music pieces/ arrangements tailored to suit your music level. 🎁
As for the little ones, everything above will be taught with a very fun, engaging teaching method. ✨

About Me

April is a classical-trained pianist, composer, and educator. Born in Taipei city of Taiwan, April developed her music path in Boston, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and Bordeaux, France. She currently lives in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

As an educator, she published a music picture book with a suite of music works as an inspiring teaching method for the little ones.

As a composer, her compositions are often written in classical forms brushed with contemporary colours. Influenced by various musicians such as J.S Bach, Claude Debussy, George Gershwin and Brad Mehldau, April covers a wide range of styles in her music. Her music works are on all music streaming platforms- Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc.

The EP is a piano set of three that is inspired by the gem of French literature “Le Petit Prince.” The use of improvisation and a slight dose of jazz give a feeling of the unlimited possibility she found within the creativity of little ones. It serves as etudes for pedagogical purposes. The debut album "Marco Piccolo's 12 Enchanted Moments" came out in May 2021. It is a set of piano works that accompanies the picture book written by April. Designed and written for late beginners/intermediates as teaching materials by April, the pieces are composed in short length on purpose. The second album was released on the 8th of April, 2022.

Also enjoys teaching music and writing music compositions for her students. Her students include all ages, and the subjects range from piano playing to music theory, harmony and counterpoint, ear training, form and analysis, as well as music appreciation.

our daughter loved April and her teaching style. She hopes everyday to be an April day :)
I started taking lessons with April almost two months ago and she really helped me a lot to have a really good method to learn. She is very patient and prepared within all the aspects and she can truly help you understanding piano music at 360°. I truly recommend her!
Very fun and age-appropriate lesson for my 4.5 year old. April follows a lesson book, which has been fun to review during the week. My daughter was sad when class was over!

Piano/ Music theory / Music production lessons for all levels
Hi, I've been giving piano and music theory lessons for over 17 years. I have received music education in many different disciplines and from teachers. Learning music from different teachers taught me how much difference the quality of communication with students can affect their journey. They helped me to understand what works to deliver information to a student, and this made me passionate about teaching. I'm here for all levels, and everyone who wants to discover playing the piano, understanding music theory, finding your own freeway on the keys, composing, and producing music. We can combine all, or focus on one! Easy :) Helping others to discover their musical tendencies is my strong muscle, as I don't have only one way of teaching. I can easily adapt to students' strong side, help them gain confidence, and show them what they need to learn. I create a personal working journey for every student. Also, I can help you to prepare for ABRSM or other conservatory exams. From beginner to advanced levels, you are more than welcome! Don’t be shy, please get in touch!

Tullia
Piano lessons with experienced teacher - graduated Pianist.
My teaching method developed during 20 years of experience and thanks to my studies of Music Pedagogy and Piano Teaching during my Master's in Piano at Livorno's Conservatory. I am currently a piano teacher in a British School and I prepared several students for ABRSM and Trinity College exams. As a private piano teacher, I work preferably in my studio, on a beautiful grand piano Yamaha, but, if not too far, I am also available for lessons at the student's house. My teaching is adapted to the skills and goals of each student. With beginning children, I aim at full musical development of the student (not just playing notes, but feeling the rhythm, singing, and expressing emotions through free improvisation); technically I don't work only at the finger position, but at the organic interaction arm-wrist-fingers, through simple exercises. With adult or advanced students, I observe them, to suggest which type of repertory to work together, and which aspects of the technique might still need improvement. I teach classically, through the learning of notes, harmony, and written music, but I teach also how to play songs with only chord symbols, and blues improvisation at a basic level. Both with children and adults I aim at creating a joyful experience during the lesson, in which focus is gained in a playful way, finding each time the best practicing solutions to technical and musical difficulties. In this way, practicing at home becomes not another heavy duty to add to an already busy schedule, but repeating a creative, searching experience, that is never the same. Books: the use of a method is often suggested in the first years. Later I advice classical pieces to be studied. Also, Pop or Rock songs that the student would like to perform are well accepted, if I think the student can afford them.

Classical piano lessons in Amsterdam, for children and adults
The class is offered to children and adults, who would like to discover the music world and broaden their understanding of this form of art. For children, it will be a nice, light, and creative journey since I spend quite a lot of time with kids of different ages. For adults, I could suggest either a fun way of learning or a deep and thoughtful approach to piano playing. I am flexible and open to the conversation! This also applies to the schedule, location, time, and the repertoire you/your child would like to play. Any wishes regarding the materials, goals, directions (etc.) of the class are welcomed and highly appreciated! Looking forward to meeting you and seeing your smile after the lesson! :)

One-on-one lessons in classical piano playing. Old or modern music, everything is possible!
I have been playing classical piano for 14 years. Obviously a lot solo, but also in ensembles, as an accompanist for flutists, violinists, clarinetists and singers. I was also a paid rehearsal director and pianist for a music theater company for a while and I played concerts in an orchestra. More importantly, I also enjoy teaching! Whether you are just starting out or have been working for some time, together we can tinker with your technique and execution.

Deniz
