Private lessons of Violin, Solfeggio and / or musical awakening (all levels) - in Namur

Translated by Google. Click to view original.
I am a violinist and I am continuing my studies at the IRMEP (Royal Higher Institute of Music and Pedagogy) in Namur.
Passionate about music for a long time, I love sharing and transmitting my passion!
I obtained my DEM (diploma of musical studies) in 2017 at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Lyon (France). Since the age of 15, my goal has been to become a professional violinist and to teach.

During my lessons, I adapt to each person, I try to support each student as best as possible and at their own pace. I make sure that the course goes in a positive way, in a good mood and in confidence. I respect each course. Music is above all to have fun!

Depending on the level, the need, the objective and the personal work of the pupil, I try to help him progress on all points, through music. Whether it is in his overall outfit (violin, bow and entire body) or the ear (accuracy of notes, rhythms) and in his feelings (musicality, phrasing etc).
I also do my best to put the person at ease and to set specific goals for each upcoming class.

About Me

Translated by Google. Click to view original.
Having obtained my DEM (Diploma of Musical Studies) in violin in 2017 and my CEM (Certificate of Musical Studies) in Musical Training, I always do my best to support each and everyone according to their goal (whether for play for fun, just to progress or for a competition ...). So, I adapt the teaching method according to your needs!
I have been teaching the violin in private lessons for 4 years (including 2 years in musical awakening). I had the opportunity to work with young children and adults who wanted to start or continue to learn this instrument. Whatever your age or your experience, beginner or not, you are therefore welcome!

From my first class with Hannah, I knew I was going to learn a lot and make rapid progress, after just a few weeks I'm already starting to see results! Hannah has adapted to my level and always lets me choose from several different learning angles. With it, music theory is not obligatory for example, but it is a possibility. Finally, we feel Hannah's passion for the violin, music and its history and it is extremely motivating!

I am a big child with already a certain baggage with its qualities and faults. Hannah was able to quickly see the points requiring work while offering me a formula adapted to my desires, needs and motivating.

For all levels and ages, and in several languages (French, English, Spanish, Portuguese). Passionate about teaching, my permanent objective is the development of the student. While adapting to the age and level of each student and respecting the learning pace of each student.

Musical awakening for the little ones (qualified teacher in musical pedagogy)
Does your child develop an interest in music or sounds? Do you want to introduce him to the world of music? There are only advantages! Music is my job! I have been a classical guitar teacher for more than 10 years and I attach particular importance to teaching the youngest musical bases. Thanks to my experience in musical youth but also as a teacher of musical awakening for kindergartens, I can offer courses on awakening to music and on the basics of musical training. In the program : An approach to rhythm through movement. The beginning of music theory using playful and fun methods. For those who want a smooth approach with guitar. From the age of 6, it is already possible to learn and have fun with music. Degrees: Master in classical guitar at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. Pedagogical master at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. Music aggregation.

Hughes
Individual drum lessons in the Namur region with guitar and vocal accompaniment
I rely on a human and personalized approach based on mutual exchange. I also seek to arouse curiosity in terms of listening, which in my opinion is essential in instrumental development. Although this is essential for the transmission of knowledge, I take care never to scare away with too much theory. The primary purpose of music remains above all to take pleasure and share emotions. As soon as his level allows it, I suggest that the student accompany him on guitar and singing so that he can feel the magic that operates when we play in a group.

Hélène
Professional violinist gives violin and music theory lessons
Violinist graduated from the conservatories of Geneva and Amsterdam, with several years of professional experience, I am finishing a didactic master's degree this year at the IMEP in Namur. I teach for all ages and levels (French or English), no musical knowledge is required and the repertoire can include all styles of music. I teach at your home (Namur and surroundings) or at my place. Passionate about research on the well-being of the musician, I base my lessons on relaxation, good humor and the desires of the student in order to create a bond of trust and better progress. Breathing, awareness of the body and feelings, work on posture, development of sound and liberation of expression. I consider with great seriousness and pleasure the work with my students and the transmission of my passion for music. I am at your disposal for a possible telephone interview, according to your convenience.

Classical violin lessons in French, English or Italian
I propose violin lessons for all the ages and levels. I love music and violin in particular and what I hope is to transmit my passion to other people. What I would like is to make people learn through enthusiasm and positivity, with the belief that it is always the right time to learn something new. I have many years of experience as a teacher, thanks to the schools where I have been teaching during the last years and the teachers that I met as a student, who made me learn how to play and how to teach too. I like to teach by adapting to people and their wishes, looking for the right approach for each one

Elie
Private Violin lessons at home or at my place
Hello, My name is Elijah. Currently a student at the Royal Institute of Music and Pedagogy of Namur, I offer violin lessons at all levels. With both a scenic and educational experience, I will be very happy to pass on to you or your child all that I have been able to learn during my life as a musician. it is with a lot of enthusiasm that we can choose to approach the violin under two different aspects. Academic: Work in the tradition of the great violin schools (Russian, Belgian, French), with a technical program adapted to the needs, which will evolve over time. This type of work is very suitable for beginners, intermediates who wish to evolve in a slightly more "technical" dimension (without losing the primary objective which is music), or even more advanced people who wish to approach the great classical repertoire in a healthy and thorough way. Popular: An approach that is not in opposition to the first, quite the contrary. the violin finds its place in almost all the traditional music of the world, I would find it a shame not to approach them. Gypsy, Irish, Gypsy Jazz or others, are styles that I really like to explore with the student. Naturally, I try to link the two to offer a teaching that allows both to progress effectively, and to have fun quickly. Afterwards, it is always possible to adapt according to the desires of each one. The price is increased if I have to move. Hoping to meet you as soon as possible, Musically, Elijah

Eliott
Student in Master 2 offers fun Violin lessons
Violin student in Belgium since 2020, currently in Master 2 in the class of Julien Eberhardt, soloist of the Opéra de Liège as well as Gilles Millet, of the Quatuor Danel. Holder of the IMEP Bachelor's degree in 2021. Former student at the Pôle Supérieur de Paris-Boulogne (PSPBB) in License, with Marie-Françoise Pallot Holder of a DEM (Diploma of Musical Studies) in Violin at the CRR of Aubervilliers in 2016. DEM Cycle of Musical Training at the CRR of Paris followed from 2014 to 2017 (Perfection of Theoretical Mastery) Holder of a DEM in Chamber Music in Sonata with Piano at the CRR de Boulogne-Billancourt in 2018. 1st Prize at the Hong Kong International Music Festival in 2018. Long teaching experience over ten years, in private lessons but also in public conservatories. I work with the Violin method of Mathieu Crickboom with which I started the violin myself, I also appreciate the "Le Petit Paganini" method, in addition I help myself with duos as well as studies and concertos according to everyone's level. I count on the advice and the past achievements that I received during my progression with the Professors, Instrumental Groups, Public Personalities that I rubbed shoulders with as well as on my interest in pedagogy and my follow-up of Masterclasses on other students and myself to make the most of everyone's progress. My approach is as much in the search for the aesthetics of sound and the work of the ear as in proprioception and the harmonious bodily feeling necessary for the work of the violin. At everyone's pace, and with as much fun as possible :)

Beginner to Advanced Lessons for Guitar Players for all ages
After dedicating 14 years to mastering the guitar, I've developed a comprehensive understanding of guitar playing, encompassing both foundational techniques and advanced music theory. In these lessons, I'll be sharing the wealth of knowledge I've accumulated over this extensive period of learning. I will be covering a broad range of guitar techniques, including fingerpicking, strumming techniques, major and minor chords, power chords, barre chords, riffs, scales, finger warm-ups, practising any song of your choice, string bending, pull-offs, hammer-ons, harmonics, strumming patterns, and slides. All are provided with diagrams etc. For music theory, I will begin by covering the fundamentals, including notes, strings, and the musical 12-note chromatic scale alphabet on the guitar. As students progress, we will delve into more advanced topics such as tones, semitones, chord progressions, circle of fifths, scale formulas and chord terminology. Additionally, we will explore concepts like consonance and dissonance and pitch practice to develop relative pitch. (You have to be born with perfect pitch but you can learn relative pitch with practise!) Then advancing to jazz theory, we'll explore; jazz scale formulas, jazz chord progressions, swing techniques, major and minor 7th chords, major and minor 9th chords, dominant, augmented, half-diminished, diminished, sus2 and sus4 chords. And then jazz scales and the art of re-harmonising a song (changing the chords to jazz chords). All music theory will be intertwined with guitar practice as both can't be done without the other! One observation I've made while learning guitar through lessons is that information is often doled out incrementally, making it feel like a breadcrumb trail. Guitar knowledge and skills seem to be closely guarded and usually gatekept unless actively sought out. I strongly believe that the extensive knowledge I've acquired over 14 years of playing should be fruitfully shared in a more comprehensive and accessible manner, of course while being tailored to the pace of the students. In essence, I'm convinced that the depth of my understanding I've gained could be effectively conveyed and learnt within a two-year timeframe without including the time it takes to master the skill with practice, of course, I'd like to make it easier for people to learn the guitar and the theory behind it. I have also graduated with a distinction for my Music Performance and Production UAL Level 3 Course and have experience teaching guitar in London and Bristol before. The lessons will be taught in English so practising your English with me is also a plus, a foundational knowledge of English is required to take the lessons.

Toby
Violin lessons, intermediate - advanced (in English, German or Russian)
I am a professional violin and viola teacher based in Zurich, teaching in person at students' location or online, in English, German or Russian. (Reviews below) As well as instrumental teaching and ensemble coaching of at all levels over the last 12 years, I’ve led numerous professional workshops, including ‘Music First’ and ‘Music Masters’ workshops in London and was an assistant on the Primary Arpeggione viola course and at the Springgrove music competition. As a member of the European String Teachers’ Association, I participated in their conferences across Europe. I have prepared students for music exams at all levels, working with them on music theory, aural and sight reading skills, and regularly accompany students on the piano. As a performing musician, I perform internationally as a soloist and chamber musician, recently including at the Victoria Hall in Geneva, Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg and Philharmonie in Berlin. I’m a Tillett Trust and Villa Musica artist, winner of the Małopolska competition, Barbirolli Prize at the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition and Len Lickorish Memorial Prize at the Royal Overseas League International Strings Competition. I hold a masters degree with first class honours from the class of Tabea Zimmermann at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, and Bachelors with the same distinction from the Royal Academy of Music in London. * Reviews * Stephanie W. Toby is an outstanding instructor and works with children very naturally. My 11 year old son has been taking lessons with Toby for over two months and is eager for each lesson. Toby is extremely talented, but beyond that, he engages my son deeply with the music itself, fundamental techniques, music theory, and even the interpretation of the music. Toby is kind, encouraging, and works with students at a level that is appropriate. He has allowed my son to chose music that if fun and interesting to practice, even though the pieces are challenging. In fact, I often sit in to listen to the lessons, as they are so good. My son has had a couple of lessons with Toby while company has been over, and everyone has commented on how amazing Toby is as an instructor. I can not recommend Toby enough and hope to continue lessons with him for a long time. Pamela B. Toby is really a great teacher who teaches the pieces well and brings out more of the feeling in the playing. We particularly liked that. Good technique is one thing, but feeling the music is such an important element in music and learning a piece of music. He also teaches theory very well! Tatyana M. Toby is a fantastic teacher. He is very reliable as he is consistently organised and punctual. I constantly see progress in my child’s music skills because every lesson Toby delivers is effective and well-structured. I highly recommend him to all who wish to learn or improve on their music skills. Shaun W. Knowledgeable and frank, Toby was able to provide me with crucial information quickly and efficiently. Hanna S. Toby can explain things very well and understandably, is patient and friendly and easily adapts to the student's level. Jacques R. Toby is an excellent tutor with top teaching skills..he teaches music theory in a way my 12 year old son understands the lesson easily; Toby is very attentive

Discover the guitar differently and intuitively
This course is above all there to make you want to play the guitar, let it be a pleasure! It will be based on the practice of the instrument, on the understanding and role of the guitar. Have you always dreamed of being able to play the guitar? it's time to get started! Let the magic of music take hold of you and become the accomplished guitarist you always wanted to be! GUITAR LESSON for ALL LEVELS ✨ taught by a seasoned CONSERVATOIRE PROFESSOR! 🎶
The lessons can be conducted in English 🇬🇧, Spanish 🇪🇸 , or Italian 🇮🇹 , ensuring accessibility for all students. Age and musical preferences are not limitations; with qualitative daily practice, rather than sheer quantity, progress can be swiftly observed. 💪🏼 🎶 My approach to classical guitar lessons is centered on tailoring them to each student's individual needs and potential. I prioritize fostering enthusiasm and motivation as primary tools for conveying technical and theoretical concepts, alongside a deep love for music. Lessons are open to students of all ages and skill levels. 🚀 The focus of the course revolves around the joy of playing music. Your favorite genres and pieces will take center stage, with a thorough exploration of their codes and secrets. Together, we'll delve into technical exercises and learn to play pièces of your choice or mine, enriching your repertoire and enhancing your playing style. 🤩 For example, we can reimagine pieces by applying advanced techniques such as the CAGED system, incorporating new chords, positions, and techniques like arpeggios and fingerstyle playing. This expands the instrument's capabilities and your playing skills, ensuring continuous progress and improvement. 👨🏻‍🏫 Upon request, the program also includes theoretical studies, which are presented in an accessible manner suitable for both beginners and experienced musicians. Exercises, pieces, and theoretical explanations are structured in a progressive order of difficulty.🔥 The theoretical program covers a range of topics, including guitar tuning, chord theory, scales and modes, finger picking techniques, strumming patterns, metronome practice, learning favorite songs, improvisation, harmony, melody, and rhythm theory.⚡️ Together, we'll embark on a musical journey tailored to your goals and aspirations, ensuring a fulfilling and enriching experience with the classical guitar.🔝☄️
