About Me
Hola! Me llamo Irene y soy violinista profesional en activo. Empecé a impartir clases de violín hace 8 años, y desde entonces he continuado en clases particulares y/o escuelas de música en España y Bélgica (donde estudié mi Máster durante 2 años). Durante todos estos años como profesora, he podido experimentar y aprender de mis alumnos para desarrollar un método pedagógico que se adecue a las necesidades de cada persona. Mi principal objetivo es que el alumno aprenda la técnica del instrumento a través de la musicalidad para que disfrute y cree mientras aprende.Sobre mí:
Empecé a estudiar violín a los 7 años en Torrent (Valencia). Terminé mis estudios superiores en el Conservatorio Superior de Música de Valencia en 2015 y más tarde obtuve un Postgrado en Especialización Orquestal en la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela el Máster en Música en el Royal Conservatoire Antwerp (Amberes, Bélgica). Durante todos estos años, he tocado en orquestas profesionales como la Orquesta Real Filarmonía de Galicia o la Ópera de Bruselas, en festivales de música de cámara en Italia y Francia y he realizado grabaciones para discográficas y productoras como Movistar. También me he formado en música antigua, música folk y talleres para combatir el miedo escénico.

Currently studying my 2nd year of Master degree in Koninlkijk Conservatorium Antwerpen. Before, I obtained my Bachelor degree in Valencia (Spain) and a Posgraduate in Santiago de Compostela (Spain).Experience / Qualifications
Many years of experiences playing in chamber music ensembles and orchestras while studying everyday my instrument, also different types of music.I offer classes in violin, viola and musical language for all levels. I have 8 years of experience as a teacher in private classes and music schools. During all these years as a teacher, I have been able to experiment and learn from my students to develop a pedagogical method that is adapted to the needs of each person. My main objective is for the student to learn the technique of the instrument through musicality so that he can enjoy and create while learning.
I obtained the Higher Degree in Music in 2015 at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Valencia and a Postgraduate Diploma in Orchestral Specialization from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2017. Recently, I have finished my Master in Musical Interpretation at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen (Belgium) with Cum Laude. In these lessons I would like to teach the student how to tackle a music dictation and how you can study for it. The dictation is very easy after a few lessons; after looking at the harmonization, possible modulations and interval exercises to more easily recognize intervals and memorize melody lines, it will be much easier when you hear a dictation to be able to fill it without error. You will then also have a better relative absolute hearing.

I am a professional viola player from Estonia, currently living in Antwerpen. I have studied in multiple conservatories in Europe and have been a member of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra.
I enjoy working with children and I have experience teaching toddlers violin from the age of 3. Of course at that age it's more about the discovery of the sound and rhythm in our bodies in general 😊
I have also taught adults and I must say that some of my best conversations and connections have been made through teaching music to grown ups who want to learn something for themselves. I have had total beginners as well as adults who once studied at a music school and had quit for various reasons.

I have been learning the violin and piano since 5 years old, and am currently taking a bachelor's in Music Performance in Violin, at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp.
Students of any age are welcome, and I have special experience with beginner and younger students, having given a lot of lessons in piano and music theory.
I teach in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and basic Dutch.
The individual violin lessons are personalized and tailored to the progress and learning ability of each student. Emphasis is placed on developing good posture and ease of movement at the early stage. We will then continue to revise and enhance technique while taking on a more challenging repertoire as they progress.
