Trusted teacher: Concertist and teacher, Johanna studied piano solo at the Hochschule für Musik in Berlin Hanns Eisler and now continues them as a Master at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. A committed pedagogue, Johanna favors the expansion of the repertoires mastered by her students, and associates improvisation, harmony and knowledge of the context (historical and musical) to these courses. She has taught at the Franco-German Music School in Berlin and at the Conservatoire in Rouen and now holds a class at the Ecole de Piano de Rouen. Johanna pursues a career as a concert artist, she plays regularly in chamber music with her trio Hémisphères and as a soloist in various repertoires in France and Germany _Paris, Berlin, Rouen, Baden-Baden, Aix-en-Provence ... She plays in the Musique Dans la rue, Piano Demain, Jeune Talents, Piano Tremplin festivals, and received a special prize. Graduated from the Hanns Eisler School in Berlin. She was a pupil of Stephen Arnold and Konrad Maria Engel. Trusted teacher: In French : For almost ten years, my method has strived to move away from those found at the Academy, sometimes considered austere and outdated. In my opinion, the student is the main actor in his learning, and the teacher should be his caring guide. In my opinion, his role is to provide him with appropriate help and support, and not to impose pre-established rules that do not take into account his unique needs. The image of the harsh and cold teacher should therefore be forgotten with me. My philosophy is always to encourage without imposing. The student will also have the opportunity to have access to a much broader repertoire than that imposed in classical education. Thus, he will be able to play his favorite music from all walks of life, whether it be themes from songs, plays, films, series or even video games. Of course, I also encourage classical music, as long as the student finds pleasure in it, which remains and will remain the most important for me. After all, what is music if not the purest and universal essence of our humanity, which brings together and unites our hearts and minds? In English: Over a decade of teaching, I have developed a method of teaching piano that differs from the ones found in the academic environment. For me, the student should be at the center of his learning journey. The teacher should be a guide who provides the student with tailor-made help and support, without forcing preexisting rules that don't reflect the unique needs of each student. No cold, strict or ill-tempered teaching on my watch! My philosophy goes by the following: always encourage, never impose. The student also has the opportunity to explore a much larger repertoire than the one imposed in classical education. He/She has the freedom to play any music from all backgrounds, including songs, shows, movies, series or even video games. Of course I also encourage classical music, as long as the student enjoys it, which will always be the most important part for me. After all, what is music, if not the purest and most universal essence of our humanity, the one that connects our hearts and souls?
