I specialize in classical piano music but can also teach other genres. In a lesson, I generally focus on building a solid foundation (organic and tensionless technique, harmony knowledge, historical practice, etc.) to give my students the tools for them to express music in their own way. This course is intended for piano enthusiasts, curious and slightly advanced pianists. The goal is to learn a basic understanding and feeling for playing the piano in order to ultimately be able to master simple to moderately difficult pieces without problems. I myself already enjoyed a twelve-year classical education at the music school and therefore have a comprehensive understanding of my instrument and the associated music theory. In past years I also played percussion instruments such as drums and am currently practicing playing the violin. I'm happy for you!

I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons to students of all levels. Having 12 years of teaching experience, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the course of learning piano. If the student is interested in a more serious approach, I can also guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) exams. I am currently pursuing my third degree (Postgraduate Concertsoloist) at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp, and have obtained my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance/Music from University of Minnesota and TCU-Fort Worth, TX, USA. My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as soloist with orchestra (also as harpist), and receiving top prizes in several competitions.

Singing lessons (lessons for children below): Graduate of the Brussels Conservatory in jazz singing (Master), I sing professionally and am pedagogue for 20 years now. Hello! I'm an award-winning Canadian classical pianist and experienced teacher offering piano lessons for all levels, beginner to advanced. I have performed with orchestra and has a soloist in various festivals across Canada, Germany, Austria, Spain and Switzerland, in addition to being a prize winner in numerous competitions, as well as the recipient of numerous grants and awards. I am currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Montreal (Canada) and also pursuing a second degree at the University of Music of Geneva. Even at this young age, children enjoy singing, dancing and making music together with small rhythm instruments. In this way, you playfully stimulate the development of your (grand) child. And do not think that the children have to sit on their lap all the time! We also enjoy moving and dancing.
