I'm a student on Erasmus in Graz studying for my Bachelor in English and American Studies. I am Christian, graduated in chemistry from the University of Utrecht (Biomolecular sciences), and have a PhD in developmental biology (PhD). For example, I use a marker and whiteboard, so that the atmosphere is comparable to if I were at your house. There are various reasons why a student would like to receive tutoring, and everyone has their own way of learning. I am always very involved with the student's goals and progress, and I am personally optimistic and approachable by nature. My experience is that a safe and motivating atmosphere is created during the lessons, which is contagious and in addition to understanding the material, I also see the self-confidence growing in students. In addition to tutoring, I am a part-time artist (painter and musician), and perhaps my creative, enthusiastic attitude seeps through in how I view science subjects. I am a qualified Primary School teacher and have taught up to the age of 11. As a primary school teacher, I teach all subjects including Reading, Writing, Math, Early years reading (phonics), Science and many more. I have worked with pupils who are taking their year 2 and 6 SATS tests and supported them by identifying their learning needs and planning lessons to engage and enhance their progress.
