Music can be learned at any age! A state-certified jazz and contemporary piano teacher from Pôle Sup' 93, I offer lessons for children, teenagers, and adults of all levels. I am also a composer and arranger. I teach at rue Marceau (tram Maryse Bastié or metro Pierre et Marie Curie). Whether you are a complete beginner, classically trained, or an advanced self-taught learner, my courses are for you, in group or private lesson format. GROUP WORKSHOPS --- Registrations open for the 2026 academic year --- In addition to this, you need to know more about it. Give your child—or yourself—a joyful, stimulating, and collaborative musical experience! My teaching method is based on the American Piano Safari program, renowned for its modern, playful approach and its perfectly structured technical progression. I adapt this benchmark curriculum to the group format by incorporating a specific repertoire of pieces for four and six hands, so you can learn music with both pleasure and rigor. Around the same piano, students alternate between individual practice and group playing, thus promoting listening, rhythm and mutual motivation. Three routes adapted to each age group: "Piano Awakening" (MS and GS): Safari Friend Piano "Little Beginners" (Primary School): Piano Safari "Absolute beginners" (teens and adults): Piano Safari for the Older Student My workshop formats The workshops last 45 minutes and take place every week during the school term (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, times to be defined together). 6-hands workshop (3 students per group) Target audience: Piano awakening and young beginners (from kindergarten to primary school) Four-hands workshop (2 students per group) Audience: Piano awakening, young beginners and advanced beginners (from kindergarten onwards, with no age limit). A comprehensive and modern teaching method Much more than just a piano lesson, these workshops offer a comprehensive musical education: Balanced Reading/Imitation: Learning alternates smoothly between written (reading sheet music) and oral (imitating the teacher) approaches. This dual method allows for the development of solid sight-reading skills while simultaneously freeing the ear and technical skill. To complement this training, an introduction to improvisation is integrated from the very first lessons, enabling each student to approach the piano creatively. Technique & Theory: Acquiring the fundamentals (posture, flexibility, coordination) is based on the creative world of Piano Safari. Each technical movement is associated with an animal: the kangaroo's jump, the lion's touch, the giraffe's walk, etc. These powerful images allow students to naturally anchor the correct movement in their minds and bodies, transforming technical difficulties into child's play. This solid foundation is then applied to a varied repertoire, from classical to blues. Digital Tools: To facilitate personal practice, most pieces include MP3 recordings of the "teacher" part and demonstration videos. Students can therefore practice playing duets at home and review technical skills independently between lessons. Why choose a group workshop? The small group format transforms learning piano into a shared adventure. It's the ideal solution for fostering a lasting love of playing, as it addresses three essential needs: Boosted motivation: learning alongside peers creates a natural emulation. We encourage each other, we progress together, and the feeling of loneliness, which can sometimes discourage students alone at home, disappears in favor of a stimulating group dynamic. Less stress, more confidence: performing in front of others becomes a natural and positive habit rather than a source of apprehension. The group reduces the pressure of individual performance and allows technical challenges to be approached with greater ease. The joy of sharing: music is, by its very nature, a language of communication. By playing with 4 or 6 hands, students develop valuable listening skills (rhythm, balance of sounds) and immediately experience the satisfaction of producing a rich and harmonious collective work. The stage: two highlights of the year Because music is meant to be shared, the year is punctuated by two concerts that allow everyone's progress to be celebrated in a warm atmosphere: The winter concert (December): a friendly gathering to close out the first term. It's an opportunity for students to present their first group pieces and experience the magic of a small concert, ideal for gently building confidence. The spring concert (May/June): it's the culmination of the year! This event allows us to present a more elaborate repertoire, to showcase the technical work done and to share the pleasure of playing together in front of family and friends. These regular performances allow one to become comfortable on stage naturally, to give concrete meaning to weekly work and to transform the effort into immense shared pride. I offer fully online piano lessons in English for teenagers and adults who want thoughtful, structured and serious musical training. My teaching is rooted in the Russian academic piano tradition, but the lessons are not limited to a narrow repertoire path. We can work with classical pieces or other music that is meaningful to the student — including modern, film, anime or jazz-oriented material — as long as the work remains serious, attentive and musically thoughtful. In my lessons, technique, reading, coordination, sound, rhythm, phrasing, memory and expression are connected into one clear musical system. The aim is not only to learn pieces, but to understand how music works from inside: how the ear, mind, hands, body and musical intention come together. I help students develop a deeper relationship with music as a living language — with direction, structure, breathing, sound, emotion and inner logic. The goal is for the student to play not mechanically, but with understanding, freedom, taste and personal expression. I work best with motivated students: serious teenagers, advanced amateurs, returning adults, and learners preparing demanding repertoire, auditions or international exams, including ABRSM. In every case, the focus is on building a complete musical foundation: technique, sound, understanding, expression and confident independent practice. I am a concert pianist and piano educator with more than 20 years of teaching experience. I studied at the Moscow Conservatory College and the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, taught at university level, performed internationally and recorded two CDs for Melodiya. The lessons are structured, precise and demanding, but clear and respectful. My aim is to help each student not only play better, but understand music more deeply and gradually become more independent, intelligent and artistic at the piano.

I'm really glad that I can take bass lessons from Christophe, as a professional bass player, he has really good skills and can adapt easily according to students' levels and preferences. Also, he is really responsible, and he sent the course notes to me very promptly after each lesson, which helped me to memorize better. For questions that I may have about bass, he is also quite responsive, through which I've learnt a lot. I strongly recommend Christophe, for his profession, friendliness, as well as patience and responsibility. And I'm also sure that he will be a good tutor and friend as well in your bass journey.

Rob is fantastic - warm, engaging, and patient. My 10-year-old son has been taking a weekly class with Rob for the entire school year. Rob is very responsive and communicative, so scheduling and other logistics have been smooth. He incorporates my son's interests into the lessons while building foundational skills. Rob has helped my son grow as a musician and, perhaps most importantly, maintain an enthusiasm for the process.
